Preferred: Search for more information about what you need on the left side of this page and submit an electronic request to the International Programs Office in your International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) Portal profile. Requests you must submit online include on-campus employment, Leave Of Absence, I-20 extension, OPT, CPT, Reduced Course Load (RCL), SEVIS Transfer Out, and more. There are detailed instructions on these pages, we ask you to carefully read them first. Requests will be available in your online profile > Request & Document Center.
Walk-In Hours are back!! Now you can drop by our office from Monday through Friday from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM to talk to any advisor for no more than 15 minutes.
To quickly find an answer, we encourage you to visit https://internationalservices.ut.edu/ and find the section of the website that will answer your questions, then go ahead and submit any e-requests to our office online in your international student portal profile, as instructed. In your request's instructions you will find more detailed information about what you need to do. If you still have questions, you can email international@ut.edu, or email directly your international student advisor. We will respond as soon as we can.
If you have a very specific question, not answered on our information pages, or a particular issue or situation that cannot be addressed by email, then you can schedule an advising session

- When emailing a UT office, make sure to include your full name and student ID.
- The Office of International Programs strives to respond to all emails as soon as possible and within 48 business hours, however, during busy times it may take longer.
- Emails received outside of normal business hours will be read and responded to as soon as possible, in order of receipt, during business hours.
